Challenge: Redesign the homescreen in 30 minutes
Hero-section: Rebuilt with a single focal point - A primary account card showing current balance at a glance, with savings available as a secondary read.
Everything else cascades from that anchor.
Navigation & Actions: Added Overview / Favourites tabs. The default Overview is calm for daily check-ins. Favourites is one tap when intentful.
Spending Intelligence: The donut chart and legend were replaced with labeled vertical bars and a quick month switcher. Bars reduce eye travel and make category comparisons instantaneous.
Visual system: calmer palette with a trusted teal card gradient, clear type hierarchy, 8-pt rhythm, and ≥44px targets, cleaner to scan, less fatigue, AA-compliant.
